Several children-shepherds are watching their sheep for their parents, who have gone into Bethlehem for the census and tax. During their tending, a light rain falls and a rainbow appears - only this rainbow is alive!  It turns out that the rainbow, which is a symbol of God's promises, is actually made up of different colored angels. Each color stands for a different promise of God. That night the white angel appears and announces the birth of Jesus. A family wants to select a Christmas card that will best tell others how they feel about Christmas.  Father wants holly and ivy. Mother wants carolers. Jenny wants Santa's helpers and Timmy wants shepherd. The angels at Angel Central in the Heavenly Realms are busy as usual, but the new angel on the block wants to hear the full story once again of what happened on that first Christmas night. Benjamin is a shepherd boy whose father says is too young to make the journey, so he sets out on his own with his pet sheep and a loaf of bread to find Bethlehem and the baby. During his journey, this little traveler learns some important truths.
